Introducing our Judge:
I would like to thank you and your committee for asking me to judge your show.
We started actively showing boxers in 1972 and applied for our prefix. Tony used to be in The Royal Navy and served on H.M.S Ark Royal and we have used Ark Royal backwards to make up our prefix. Since then we have been consistent winners at Championship Shows. We have made up Champions and had reserve CC winners along the way. Some of our most notable wins are winning the Bitch CC at Crufts in 1982 And winning Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts in 2007.
Tony and I were invited to serve on The Mancunian Boxer Club Committee in 1976 and have served for Thirty-Four Years. Tony has held the office as Vice Chairman, Chairman and President and is now the Patron of the club. Tony was also voted on as Vice Chairman of The Boxer Breed Council which automatically progressed to Chairman after Two years and served Four terms of office in each position.
I served my apprenticeship as a Boxer show judge by judging classes at all Breed shows, progressed to judging Boxer Club Puppy Stakes, Limited Shows and Open Shows.
I was first asked to Judge at Championship show level in 1996 by Driffield All Breed Championship Show. Since then I have judged the following Championship Shows: - The Midland Boxer Club, The Tyne Wear and Tees Boxer Club, Bournemouth, Munster Boxer Club (Southern Ireland), Richmond, Essex and Eastern Counties Boxer Club, London and Home Counties Boxer Club. I also Judged the Scottish Boxer Club Top Dog Event in 2009.
In 2014 I Judged Birmingham Dog Show Society Championship Show and in August this year I am judging the Scottish Kennel Club’s Championship Show.
Latterly we have been campaigning a young dog, Ch.Roylark Commander In Chief JW handled by our Granddaughter Charlotte. At only Two years of age and in less than 12 months has won 6 CC’S (5 with BOB) and 1 Res CC.
